Have you ever dreamed of flying to London to see great theatre, but then thought you’d rather sit around in Jeff & Erin’s backyard instead? You’re not alone, and we’ve got news for you! Starting this season, we’re hosting National Theatre Under the Elm. We’ll set up a big screen, projector, and sound system to stream one of the National Theatre’s past performances, right here on Flynn Lane.

Screenings take place on the third Friday of each month, October through May (stay tuned for Dive-In Movies next summer). Doors at 6:30 pm; curtain at 7:30 pm.

There’s no fee to attend; we just thought this would be a fun way to trick you into hanging out with us. We only ask that everyone bring a potluck dish inspired by that evening’s theme.

We’ll send invitations each month with details about the play and potluck theme. You can RSVP through the invitation (or let us know if you’d prefer not to get monthly reminders).

Friday, October 17, 2025 — Frankenstein

Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered Creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the increasingly desperate and vengeful Creature determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal. In this version, directed by Danny Boyle, Benedict Cumberbatch plays the Creature and Jonny Lee Miller is Victor Frankenstein.

Potluck Theme: Mad Science

Friday, November 21, 2025 — Amadeus

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a rowdy young prodigy, arrives in Vienna determined to make a splash. Awestruck by his genius and seized by obsessive jealousy, court composer Antonio Salieri begins a war with Mozart, with music, and ultimately, with God. Peter Shaffer’s iconic play features Lucian Msamati as Salieri, Adam Gillen as Mozart, and Karla Crome as Constanze, with live orchestral accompaniment by Southbank Sinfonia.
